Good evening!
I'm looking forward to our first field trip next Wednesday to the Police/Fire Station! If you didn't see the e-mail yet, details are included to the left.
Michelle has been working on organizing the Zoofari field trip for October. Here are the details:
"Below is the information for Zoofari Day at the zoo for homeschool families.
It is October 1 and pre-registration is requested. Our group could meet at a
certain place at the zoo and enjoy this day together. I copied this info
from the TPA newsletter:
Something TPA has been working toward
for the last few years is a special day for homeschool
families at the Zoo. The first annual Zoofari Day
for homeschoolers is October 1, 2009. This is a
unique opportunity for you to see all your favorite
things at the Zoo – at a reduced price - and also have
the chance for your children to learn something new
along the way. The admission price for this special
event has been reduced to $3.00 per person or you
can use your Zoo membership. Zoolab carts will be
stationed throughout the Zoo with volunteers giving
of their time to tell us more about the science of the
Zoo. The Zoolab carts will be available from 9:00
a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Feel free to spend as much time
at the Zoo as you wish. To get the discount
admission price, please enter through the Cargill
Learning Center from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Full
admission price is in effect after 10:00 a.m. and you
will need to enter through the main gate of the Zoo,
but you can still enjoy the activities until 1:00 p.m.
Pre-registration is requested, although you will be
admitted to the activities if you do not preregister.
Please e-mail zoofariday@teachingparents.org give
us your name and the number of people from your
family who will be attending."
If you are planning on attending this trip, please leave a comment or e-mail Michelle at your earliest convenience.
Thanks!

We wouldn't miss a zoo trip!
We're planning to do the zoo trip instead of Cowtown this time. Tough choice :(
We'll be there, sounds like fun!
We will be there! I don't know that we will stay the whole time, but we'll come in the morning!
For those interested, we're packing a lunch to eat at the zoo.
Chris (my husband) has a few vacation days to use up, so he is taking off a some of next week and will be joining us at the zoo...just FYI! Looking forward to it!
We won't be able to go on the zoo trip, but you all have fun!!!
